Just imagine…

It’s early morning.

You light your favorite incense—maybe sandalwood or lavender—and ease onto the couch, into
that one spot that always cradles you just right.
You close your eyes, take a breath, and whisper three things you’re grateful for.

Then,
Breathe in… hold… breathe out.

The stillness wraps around you like a soft blanket.
And before you even realize it—
the clarity comes.

What Is a Spiritual Download?

It’s that sudden knowing.
That flash of insight. That gut-deep truth that seems to float in from nowhere, but somehow… feels like everything.

A spiritual download is intuitive wisdom sent from a higher source.
It arrives in quiet moments—not because you’re forcing it, but because you’ve made
space for it.

“But I Can’t Meditate…”

I hear that often. And you know what?
Still-ish doesn’t have to look like sitting cross-legged in silence for 20 minutes.
Still-ish isn’t just physical—it’s mental.

Sometimes, stillness comes while:

  • Taking a long, warm shower, letting the water wash over your thoughts
  • Washing dishes, hands immersed in warm, soapy water—mind gently quieting
  • Walking in the park, noticing every step, every breeze, every leaf
  • Journaling, letting your thoughts pour onto paper without judgment
  • Cooking, hands chopping and stirring as your mind softens and settles

These are moving meditations.
They are sacred. They are valid. They count.


Why It Matters

We already know meditation helps relieve stress and anxiety.
But it’s more than that.
It’s a
daily chance to come home to yourself.
A portal to clarity. A pause that makes room for inner guidance.

And here’s the truth:
All the answers you seek? They’re already inside of you.
You just have to get quiet enough to hear them.
The blessing is not out there—it’s

**THE 16TH ANNUAL AADDF 2025 JULY 25-27, 2025**

Every year, my husband and I host the Atlanta African Dance and Drum Festival (AADDF), which will take place July 25-27th. It is our annual cultural event celebrating African Dance and Drum traditions of West Africa.

This year marks our sixteenth year of producing The Festival and we are inviting you to participate! This is a beautiful family event. There is African dance and drum classes from beginners to more advanced, retail shopping and a culminating concert with one of the premiere dance companies from St. Louis, Afriky Lolo.

We are inviting you to attend this year and yes, you can travel for this event -- we love out of town guests. Bring yourself and bring your family and get into the culture. You can purchase tickets for the weekend at www.AADDF.org

Your Skin Is a Mirror: What Is It Reflecting?
